Francesco Pirazzi (b.1994, Veroli, Italy) depicts isolated outdoor scenes where the study of light is the central subject. For Pirazzi, the invisible and intangible subject has the power to modify reality to the point of making it almost unreal, in and other to itself. 

For Pirazzi, it is light that animates the compositions inanimate characters, likening them to the silent movie actor.   Pirazzi’s captures scenes at moments of melancholia, absence and suspension - which act as conduit to truth in representation and beauty. It could be the dazzling sun, that cuts the contour of a sharp blade or the darkest night, where things seems to merge, or evaporate and disappear.  For Pirazzi, light is the protagonist of the scene.
