As part of the OFF Program by CAN, we present a show in by Jesús de Miguel in the Cultural Space Sa Punta des Molí, Walter Benjamin Hall.
Sensitivity and inspiration, intuition and improvisation, imagination and subconscious. Creating is for Jesús de Miguel (Palencia, 1975) an uncontainable drive, something essential, like that which defines and locates us, a reason to be, to do, to be, to live and to grow.
He has an overwhelming energy and a creative desire without limits or restraint that, nevertheless, seeks the simplicity of forms in works that appeal to painting for painting's sake and art for art's sake. An aesthetic exercise and an underlying ethic that interpellates on the absurd, error as distortion and as salvation, on the origin of things, mysticism, genius, thought, technological alienation, the contemporary maelstrom, contemplation, introspection and hedonism.
