As part of the OFF Program by CAN we present a duo show in collaboration with Fran Reus Gallery in Mallorca to promote the work of Balearic artists.
Bel Fullana (Mallorca, 1985) uses the body, especially the female one, as if it were an alter ego, giving free rein to her imaginary of liberated girls, hooligans and hedonists eager to have fun above all else. In her latest works, her protagonists acquire posthuman features, turning her female figures into a kind of aliens, cyborgs or extraterrestrial beings, although never forgetting their representation with sexy poses, in swimsuits or semi-nude, representing exhibitionism from an ironic and (extra)ordinary point of view. Through the naïf line that characterizes her, her paintings always have a sarcastic and unpretentious reading.
Julià Panadès (Palma de Mallorca, 1981) is an artist whose sculptural and installation art project investigates concepts such as transcendence or impermanence applied to the artistic object-object in a specific current context. His project works from the multidisciplinary, addressing different aspects from the autobiographical with aspirations of universality. He uses tools such as humor, absurdity and irony to explore aspects of a reality in which he participates.
