Oriol Maspons x Agony and Ecstasy Ibiza x IDEA

Following the success of ORIOL MASPONS IBIZA book published by IDEA in 2024, Agony and Ecstasy is thrilled to release a limited editIon collectIon of original portraits and previously unpublished photographs from the Oriol Maspons archive of Ibiza, cerca 1950s – 1980s that will be presented at CAN Ibiza. 

Emma Salahi, founder of Agony and Ecstasy in Ibiza and co-editor of the book, describes Maspons’ archive as “an amazing love affair between Oriol, his subjects and Ibiza”. From the beach to the dance floor, the pictures evoke heat, sweat, lust, the hum of cicadas, the scent of Ambre Soleil, and the sensatIon of clear horizons and vast possibilitIes. The revelers seem uninhibited and, on the occasions they are wearing clothes, they appear self-styled in inventive, experimental outfits.
