Taylor Lee (b. 1981) is a Korean American ceramic artist working and living in Los Angeles. Lee likes to create forms that juxtapose old with new. Inspired by historical figures as well as nostalgia from childhood, she combines elements of folk art with pop culture. Lee uses different firing and glaze techniques, which accent the weathered aesthetic that represent imperfect memories of past experiences combined with playful subjects that bring joy. After graduating from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada with a BA in Fine Arts in 2005, Lee's work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Miami and London.
