Landon
Pointer
Landon (b.1999) is an Oakland based artist. He finds comfort in exploring his ubiquitous relationships and reflecting them intimately onto canvas. Whether it’s correlating aspects of youth and adulthood and the transition in and out of one another, or examining his bond with sports, colour, culture, friends and family. Landon is inspired by the multi dimensional components of what creates the human experience. As a child, Landon and his mom were forced into a nomadic lifestyle due to poverty and racism. Exploring race and social inequalities plays heavy in the undertones of his work. By reflecting on the ups and downs, the mundane and extraordinary, Landon is able to find peace in his practice and continued discovery and growth within each brushstroke.
