Guillermo Fornes will present a project in Es Polvorí, in the Baluarte de Santa Lucía, in Ibiza through the OFF program of CAN Art Ibiza. An initiative that, since 2022, promotes the art of Balearic artists by holding exhibitions in venues on the Pittusan islands, mainly between Formentera and Ibiza.

"Lasal"

Within the program of CANART IBIZA 2025, the LASAL project presents the Land Art intervention by Guillermo Fornes in the salt mountains of the Natural Park of Salinas de Ibiza. The proposal, exhibited in El Polvorín (Dalt Vila), reflects on the duality of nature and the ancestral interaction between humans and the essential elements -salt, water and fire-. LASAL is materialized as an installation, a plastic work and an editorial project.

Guillermo Fornes is a visual artist whose work is characterised by a profound humanist vocation and constant technical and conceptual experimentation. His pictorial practice, nourished by a cosmopolitan and transcultural vision, unfolds between symbolism, synthesis and expressive gestures, exploring the relationship between history, habitation and culture as the foundations of an expanded subjectivity. He has worked in studios in cities such as London, Hamburg, Benares and Madrid, incorporating influences from diverse European and Eastern cultural traditions into his language.

In addition to his work in expanded painting and Land Art, he has consolidated his practice with editorial projects such as GERIA, curated by Dehlia Hannah. He has exhibited at international fairs (ARCO, MACO, MIAMI) and his work is represented by galleries in Europe and America. He is co-founder of Circular Art Analytics, where he promotes the crossover between contemporary art and technology.

For the third consecutive year, the Balearic tourism company Paya Hotels reaffirms its strong commitment to Balearic artistic creation and to the strengthening and visibility of this sector through its support of the OFF CAN 2025 Program. This program not only promotes Balearic talent, but also seeks to connect Ibiza and Formentera through art.
